about
Our very dear friend Wanda lost her life this year, at the tender age of 68. Married to Moz and mother of Alex and Chris, she burned brightly and fiercely. We miss her badly. I wrote this song for her and asked our mutual friend Pete McPhail to play alto sax on it. We reckon she would have liked it. All sales proceeds received from Bandcamp will go to Sobell House Hospice Charity in Oxford where she was cared for so well in her last days. lyrics
Song for Wanda
When you wake up we'll go downstairs
Open the curtains and straighten the chairs
I'll read the news while you check on your mails
Make us some coffee while I practise my scales
Then I'll remember, I was dreaming again
You left in the night to get the early train.
